Understanding the concern for preservation of Biodiversity, using your current knowledge of the effects of human activity, choose which region you prefer to live for the purpose of making a difference in the world and analyze the benefits and setbacks of your regional choice.

Here are your choices:

Urban Region (city life, downtown, neighboring cities, etc)

Tropical Island Region (brazil, hawaii, samoa, etc)

  • Urban:

BENEFITS

- Superior road ways (highways, etc)

- Technology (stores, media, etc)

SETBACKS

- Pollution (cars, factories)

- Overpopulation (too many people)

  • Tropical Island:

BENEFITS

- Clean Air, Nurture Biodiversity

- Vegetation (crops, energy, etc)

SETBACKS

- Little variety in technology (less innovative)

- Communication & Research is limited

Possible Outline Structure:

  1. Introduction (stating your stance on biodiversity, mentioning your regional preference and a brief “why”)
  2. Benefits (why your region works for you and preservation)
  3. Setbacks (what makes it not good)
  4. Conclusion (restate your position on biodiversity and why you prefer to live where you have chosen)
